update - the seller contacted me and offered a free replacement for some strong magnetic pens. I really appreciate their efforts which is why I give them five stars for customer satisfaction. After receiving the item and still in quarantine due to COVID 19, I decided to try the green handle option. Those green grips definitely worked better than the blue grip version I bought. The outer part follows the inner part and does not fall off. I started a self-training by cleaning a patio window that I have access to from both sides and followed the instructions to spray Windex liberally on both sides of the window, then I just used the rubber part, the tool cleaned well, all Corner parts took a second try but all worked fine. The challenge was to clean my 15 foot tall windows which are on a 60 foot tall exterior wall. Stairs up to 15 feet could be climbed inside, and from the outside there was no stair access at all because they were too high. So I didn't get a chance to spray Windex outside if I could, I probably just used my regular window scraper. These windows had a small hole at the bottom, so I used this landing pad to launch the Green Knob gliders. I had to use the microfiber cloths that came with the unit, wet them and start cleaning. It was a slow and tedious process because if your windows were as dirty as mine these microfiber towels got dirty easily, I had to take them out a few times, wash them, spray them with Windex again and start the glider again. After the 4th pass, the appearance of the windows shows a radiant cleanliness. Although no magic, just hard work, everything worked, I can now slowly work on the remaining tall windows. By the way, the safety rope that came with it was too short, so I lengthened it. --------------------------- I bought this item with high expectations after watching the seller's videos many times. I assumed I learned the skills through practice. In fact, this device falls off easily when you try to clean at minimum speed. If you clean it very slowly, it won't fall off, but will leave traces of soap. Now my cleaned window looked ten times worse than before. I bought the D2 version for my 0.5 inch double pane window.
