DO NOT BUY THIS LUGGAGE RACK FOR YOUR CAMP OR TRAILER. We bought it in August 2017 to hang on our fifth wheel and in October 2017 the strut broke in half while driving on the interstate. Luckily we didn't have an accident, but our bikes were badly damaged. Allen refused to refund the amount paid for hitching or damaging our bikes because they said the box was not designed for trailers and not designed for other suspensions. This message doesn't say anything about it not being used in trailers, but Allen claims the box it shipped in has that warning. We no longer have the box and cannot confirm this claim. If you are looking for a roof rack for your motorhome, you should look elsewhere. After seeing how quickly it broke, I wouldn't buy the car either.
