I love how DHS has filled a gap in the market.

I love how DHS has filled a gap in the market by taking ordinary home appliances and turning them into something beautiful and durable. Local major hardware stores in my area charge about $6 for a cheap plastic cable gland. This one is way better in every way. We spent a lot of money on a quartz countertop and I wanted a cable gland installed in it that looked good. Anyone want a $12 cable gland? Of course not, but for the extra $6 I thought it was worth it.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Nice metal cable gland.

When I bought this I looked at the stains and ordered a hole saw that matched the description. After cutting a hole and inserting a bushing into the hole, I found that it didn't fit exactly. In addition, the depth of the eyelet is small. I wish it was deeper and a little bigger for a snugger, more secure fit. The weight is good as it is a hard metal. I was also happy to learn that a quarter turn locks the top plate in the hub as it doesn't stay in place well without it. I use outside on the…

Why is a hole saw larger than a socket?

Due to the high price I give this product a hard mark. What I liked: The eyelets are made of metal and are beautifully finished. The locking mechanism is strong and can withstand heavy cables. What I didn't like: The hole saw sold by the same company on this listing is a little big for the grommets. Also the "teeth" on the sleeve don't reach to the edge. I ended up having to use sealant to glue the grommets to the table. Because of the way the locking mechanism is designed, there are 8 ways the

Really like this purchase - looks like it came.

The table we bought didn't have convenient holes for computer cables, so we decided to drill a hole and put a jack in it. I really like this purchase - looks like it came with the table. The first thing we like about it is that it consists of two parts. When we were looking for tables to buy the seller highly recommended the two piece grommet as it protects the exposed wood under the grommet. Although in theory you won't have to put the bushing in and out very often, having it in two pieces…

Looks great, works great, but instructions are limited.

I chose this oiled bronze cable gland to mount on a very nice hardwood table with oiled bronze fittings. Luckily the installation went well and looks good. However, the bushing came with scant instructions - essentially just telling them to drill a 2 3/8" diameter hole and, if loose, use tape around the base. The difficulty is drilling a hole without scratching or splitting the surface of the table. and the instructions don't say a word about this - I had to sit on YouTube for an hour for tips…

Pros
  • RUGGED CONSTRUCTION – Made from die-cast zinc. The antique bronze finish complements any decor.
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Better than plastic, goes well with table

We have a very nice desk in our office, but it doesn't have a cable routing hole (for the monitor and speakers). This piece fitted our table nicely and drilling was easy with a round drill bit (sold separately). The only comment I have, and it's a small one, is that I'd like the bushing diameter to be a little larger or the drill bit a little smaller. The reason is that when I drilled the hole the sleeve was just resting there. The socket wobbles VERY little. If the sleeve were larger or the…

Beautiful Metal Sleeve - Sleeve Sets

This is a fairly good quality all metal bushing. The brush is fine, but it doesn't have much room for wires. But it can be easily removed. Regarding hole saw and fitment comments, the hub body is just under 2-5/16 and the ribs closer to 2-3/8. The 60mm hole saw is right in the middle, but the hole saw is difficult to hold in place and tends to make a sloppy hole if you can't get a table or table in the drill. I used a 2-5/16 5/4 White Oak Forstner bit with the bit guide (clamped) and the socket
