Update the rating for this item. After calling the company about rust stains they recommended Bar Keepers Friend to clean my sink, I ordered it and it removed the stains straight away! I love my clam again. The only thing I would have liked a bit different is the slope in the sink, water and leftovers have to be splashed down frequently as the bottom of the sink is flat so things get stuck in the corners. I would definitely buy this sink again because it is beautiful and now that I know how to take care of it I know it will give us many years of pleasure. Edit: I called the company and they assured me it wasn't rust. They suggested I buy Bar Keepers Friend cleaning fluid, I ordered it and will update my review once I see if it helps. I'll start by saying this is a beautiful sink and is the centerpiece of my kitchen. We went back and forth on stainless steel or ceramic/porcelain sinks, it was my dream for my new kitchen. We chose stainless steel because it's more durable and less likely to scratch or chip. We placed it in our granite downhill. The problem is that after just a month of regular use small rust spots appear, we are not strict with this sink and it is always used with the steel grate provided only if we remove the grate to clean it. It is cleaned daily and weekly with a stainless steel cleaner, just like our household appliances. We clean the outside bulkhead with stainless steel cleaner and the inside of the sink with Dawn dish soap. I am very disappointed to see small spots of rust and I don't even know how you are going to change the installed sink like ours. I will contact the company and see what they recommend to resolve this issue but I am very disappointed.
