Not "stainless " steel

The sink is beautiful and comes with lots of great extras (so I gave it 2 stars instead of 1) but I had trouble finishing the sink. Stainless steel is supposed to be "rust-free", but there are always small spots of rust on the bottom of this sink where the water has been standing for a long time. I've never had to dry a stainless steel sink at the end of each day to keep it from rusting. I only clean and scrub to remove most of the rust, not all of it. I've just contacted Kraus to see if they…

Beautiful, durable and functional

We bought this sink last year when we were renovating our kitchen. That's exactly what we were looking for. It is durable and doesn't wrinkle easily. I like the grates installed at the bottom of the sink. They protect the bottom of my pots and pans from odors and also prevent them from scratching the bottom. We installed a deeper drain system with a removable bowl, which I like because it collects all the residue and food from the sink when you drain it. The large side of the sink accommodates…

Great sink, but BEWARE!

Great sink. The builder was impressed. We actually bought 2 of these, one for our kitchen and one for the studio. I like the sink itself. HOWEVER, 2 countertops purchased from 2 different companies cut the countertop as directed in the template leaving about 3/8" stainless steel protruding from the sides and back. I HATE HATE IT HATE IT. The countertop should be slightly overhanging the stainless steel on the sides and back to allow water and dirt to run straight into the sink and not get…

Great sink with a small (annoying) problem

What I like about this sink: (installed about 2 weeks ago)1. The size is great. The 36" size bothered me, but it fits my space very well. This is of course subjective and depends on the position in your kitchen, so keep that in mind. 2. The fit and finish is amazing. The quality looks looks fantastic on this sink The steel feels solid and the silencers under the sink work really well so if you put/drop something in the sink there is no rattle The edges are very well finished and clean But this…

Both are very good quality and even the safety nets look the same.

For those wondering what is the difference between Zuhne Prato 33 and Kraus KHF200-33, I bought both to see for myself. They looked the same to me, both are very good quality and even the safety nets look the same in finish and pattern. I think they and others are made in the same factory with minor branding and other distinguishing features. I left Zuhne for several good reasons. 1) While both are commercial grade 16 gauge, the zuhne is much heavier due to the thicker insulation. This is…

Six years later we still love this sink

We are glad that we chose this sink six years ago. It still looks great and works well in our family. We put the washed dishes to dry on the smaller side, which reduces the work surface. It oxidizes a little, giving it a matte look. If you want it to be shiny, water-resistant, and beaded like a RainX windshield, there's a stainless steel sink cleaner that can be applied, rubbed, and wiped clean. I use several paper towels and it takes a few minutes. Not a bad thing before visiting your…

Beautiful Sink – Kitchen & Bar Sinks

Update the rating for this item. After calling the company about rust stains they recommended Bar Keepers Friend to clean my sink, I ordered it and it removed the stains straight away! I love my clam again. The only thing I would have liked a bit different is the slope in the sink, water and leftovers have to be splashed down frequently as the bottom of the sink is flat so things get stuck in the corners. I would definitely buy this sink again because it is beautiful and now that I know how to…

Nice sink, with some manufacturer's oversights.

My husband and I bought a top fixture after our wedding a few years ago so we are very comfortable and decided to redo our countertops and replace the sink and faucet last weekend. We upgraded our 36" cabinet for this 33" sink (our previous sink was a standard 1970's style drop-in 33" sink and with a front bulkhead this sink fit in a full 36" sink by Kraus, but looked cramped since then (it would be right next to the dishwasher). The upgrade was surprisingly easy (we found a great tutorial for…
