Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I don't know what

I bought these nozzles for printing on carbon impregnated filament as they are hard enough not to wear down the built in fibers. I put one of these in the printer, leveled the platform and printed with regular PLA. The quality (with exactly the same settings) was noticeably worse with rough editing. The nozzle seemed to make some weird "droplets" with the filament instead of letting it come out in a smooth stream. I slowed down the typing speed and the bleeding effect became less pronounced. However, I could easily crush the cast in my hand, where the same cast with a brass nozzle was strong enough that I could hardly bend it. I've tried several other prints and couldn't get decent print quality. Thinking I might have messed up my printer somehow, I reinstalled the brass nozzle and straightened the bed. Now I print with this nozzle, the print quality is good. The filament flows smoothly and the print doesn't have any weird little boogers and other crap as was the case with the tempered nozzle. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I don't know what it could be.

Pros
  • 3D printer parts and accessories
Cons
  • Very expensive
