Good price and a worthwhile upgrade

This is a must-buy for anyone who appreciates attention to detail. This nozzle seems to be much more durable than the brass nozzle that comes with the kit. Small but noticeably worth upgrading.

Pros
  • 3D printer extruder
Cons
  • crumples

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I don't know what

I bought these nozzles for printing on carbon impregnated filament as they are hard enough not to wear down the built in fibers. I put one of these in the printer, leveled the platform and printed with regular PLA. The quality (with exactly the same settings) was noticeably worse with rough editing. The nozzle seemed to make some weird "droplets" with the filament instead of letting it come out in a smooth stream. I slowed down the typing speed and the bleeding effect became less pronouncedโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 3D printer parts and accessories
Cons
  • Very expensive

Okay, but it can't work with thicker threads.

I recently bought this nozzle with the intention of using it for heavier media and longer life which I think attracts many others to this nozzle. With traditional brass nozzles, heavier materials like carbon fiber and wood will wear out the nozzle faster and you will likely need to replace it frequently (about every 1-4 weeks depending on how often you print). The disadvantage of using a steel nozzle is that you usually have to adjust the print temperature by about 10ยฐC to print with the sameโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Some little things
