Simply ingenious. My water comes out with 0 dKH and 8.2 PH and I inject CO2. With water this soft, my PH is likely to be very unstable and will plummet once my CO2 kicks in. I use this in combination with an alkaline buffer with every water change to lower my PH to 7-7.2 and raise my KH to 6-8. I recommend them to other products because they are not phosphate based. This is especially important if you have a planted aquarium with lots of light, otherwise you will cause algal blooms very quickly. Given that you won't need more than half a tablespoon to handle a standard 3-5 gallon bucket on a water change. One of these 600g containers will last from a few months to a year depending on the size of your aquarium and how often you change the water. This is definitely worth buying if you have difficult water like mine.
