Review on Banks RS 42132 Performance Ram Air Intake System by Charley Martinez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy installation. I already had a complete banking system.

Easy installation. I already had a full Banks system on my 2002 Duramax which, when I bought it 14 years ago, included a K&N flat panel filter in the factory housing. Decided to upgrade to a ram air intake. I'm glad I did. Turbo Boost is better and I like the quiet turbo howl. Plus eliminates the always-on-the-go plastic fairing on top of the engine. Much easier to work with all engine components. Looks better. You now need to install a left hand BDI exhaust manifold to replace the stock reduced bore exhaust manifold that was factory installed to accommodate the steering shaft. It's hard to imagine they did that. My Max will finally be able to breathe fully again.

Pros
  • Nice thing
Cons
  • Minor problems
