I used to use a regular mattress bag, tried to seal it with tape and deflate it with a vacuum. It worked. Okay, but at some point it started to inflate. I've been using vacuum bags for clothes, bedding and travel for years and have always wished they were the size of a mattress. Then I stumbled upon her. It is very easy to put a mattress inside. The entire rim opens so you can simply place this bag on top when adjusting the mattress to your desired size. Then lay the mattress on a flat surface, pull the bag all the way up, and zip the plastic zipper up and down the edge to seal it. I put it on a Twin XL memory foam mattress. I used Shopvac and within 2 minutes it was completely flat. I walked over him on my hands and knees while he sucked to get all the air out. Just when I thought no more air was coming out, I screwed the gasket back on. I was able to roll up the mattress myself and put the straps on top. It worked so well that I bought a few more because I have a few more mattresses in case I have guests.
