I've been looking at videos of expensive light meters for photography and use with various video lights that I've bought over the past few months. Many times I've struggled to get the brightest light I could get from a small form factor light source. To do this I needed some kind of tool to measure the lighting. I didn't have the budget to invest in a full fledged light meter that's designed for photography and will tell you things like the right ISO and aperture value depending on the lighting. I stumbled upon this little tool at a much more budget-friendly price. I had several lamps on hand, so I used this meter to test their maximum output levels. After testing light for light, the readings I got with this meter accurately reflected the claims of each microphone, telling me this is an accurate meter. Nice that a cloth bag was included. Offers little to no protection other than scratches, but I wouldn't be sure my gauge in the case would survive most of the drop.
