Excellent Bang for the Buck

I just got this 24 x 36" Softboxes today. It came well packaged and included instructions. The materials are of good quality. It did take a minute to figure out that the rod pockets were not sewn over. There is a space to slide the small metal end into the pocket. You may need to insert them at nearly 90 degrees to start them. The speed ring insert, which is highly polished metal, for my old Novatron M300 was too tight so I got a large crescent wrench opened just slightly more than the thickness of the metal insert and pried it open every 1/4 inch or so. Fits perfect now. One of the inner diffuser panel's elastic loops came loose on one side during installation, so I tied a loop in it and continued. The design allows the speed ring insert to be rotated 360 degrees once installed on the strobe. You can lock the position with a rear thumbscrew. This is very cool!. The interior surface of the outer shell is highly reflective silver. I was getting just under f8 at 7 feet with both diffusers using the Novatron M300 (300WS) strobe at full power. Please keep in mind my strobes are lightly used, but, they were made in the mid 1990's. Overall, forunder $40 bucks, this is a great value! Now I want a bigger one and a 700WS strobe LoL!
