Because of these lights, I had to spend a whole day cleaning the interior of my van, which obviously wasn't nearly as clean as I thought it would be. This is the best upgrade since air conditioning! They are at least three times brighter than even standard new bulbs and without the heat which actually melted the various plastic parts in some of my lights. I replaced all of the interior light bulbs in my RV. In several lights I've mixed one of these and one of the smaller options like this because two of these when working at the same time are actually TOO bright. In total I have about 24 LEDs and not a single defective one. I used to worry about leaving the lights on. If you turn on more than 8-10 lamps, the converter will work. I'm totally nonchalant with it now, and I've never heard my converters work since I've had them. Some have complained that they are difficult to install. . I had this problem until I realized that all you had to do was stick a small (about 3/16 inch or less) flat head screwdriver between the clips holding the lamp base and turn it a quarter turn to loosen them. They were matched to the stock bulb's thin base, but they aren't springy enough to fully rebound. Lightbulbs aren't a problem, especially if you depend on your batteries. But still, they are necessary if you are tired of living in a cave while traveling. If you're using an old 972 bulb or something, you're going to be shocked, I tell you, shocked at the difference.
