Tray fits regular sized eggs but large XL eggs will not fit in the top tray. I noticed that my eggs were starting to mold due to lack of airflow, so I drilled holes around each container to allow air to circulate because eggshells are porous and they breathe. Check Plastic Air Costco's Organic Brown Egg Container has holes all around to allow air to circulate. I did this to prevent mold from developing on the eggshells of fresh, unrefrigerated eggs. To improve this container you need to make it a little bigger and add holes to allow air to circulate to store fresh eggs. Thank you.
