Review on BIGTREETECH Upgrade Motherboard Creality Extension by Shigg Bigbee

I have a SKR Mini E3 V2.0. First I wanted to add a bootloader to the standard Creality board to add additional functionality to the Marlin firmware. why annoy The SKR Mini E3 packs a punch and is a really good replacement for the Ender 3 Pro. It works fine, but I still built the latest Marlin 2.0.6 firmware. The bootloader makes this easy, just add the .bin firmware to the flash card, insert and power on the printer. The firmware will load in 10 seconds. The kit comes with a 128MB flash drive which I am using for this firmware and nothing else. Compiling firmware.bin with VSCode/PlatformIO requires watching Teaching Tech's YouTube video. The attached pictures are from Teaching Tech and they helped me connect the old board to the new one. I also use this new board with a standard Ender 3 display. No issues here and the original display works well with the Marlin. Once you get it working you'll be pleased with how quiet the stepper motors are. The TMC 2209 drivers have everything to do with it. This is a great motherboard upgrade option and the price is better than the Creality Silent Board. Some settings like AutoHome and Preheat PLA move around in the Marlin firmware, but once you find them, they're easy to edit. I love the mesh bed leveling feature, where the firmware moves you to 9 different points on the bed, keeping the stepper motors locked while you continue to use the indicator wheel to control the motor's Z-axis to make tiny adjustments. Just hold a piece of paper under the nozzle and feel free. Manual bed leveling has never been easier. The processor then automatically corrects bed errors to achieve the best grip. Make sure your launch GCode contains M420 S1 after G28 (G28 disables mesh). I use a borosilicate glass bed and there are actually small imperfections that it can even out. This SKR Mini E3 V2.0 board is amazing.
