Review on Ridgid 26998 COMPANY GIDDS 813353 Machine by Reginald Truitt

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Damaged upon receipt and inspection.

The box arrived slightly damaged. When I open the box, the product seems fine. When trying to mount the wheels I noticed that the axle was having trouble going through the holes. I thought if this is the worst then I'm happy. I put it in the garage to use later if needed. I have a house that was built in 1944 so I had to call a plumber to open the main drains about every 8 months. I figured next time it got clogged this wasn't the time to order this car. At a price of 200 for a plumber I figured I'd step in and get it in stock. After reading another guy's review about buying it for the future when he finally needed it it broke. My lines weren't clogged so I decided to give it a try and wound it up in my front yard. I didn't want the warranty to expire without knowing if it would work before the clog happened. After pulling out about 50 feet of cable with the engine running, I noticed that the bracket that the engine sits on cuts into the shaft that holds the cable. The frame must be bent during transport. I decided I wanted to start with something that works perfectly for almost $600. When I tried to reinsert the cable I found it extremely difficult to push the machine back. I had to put him on his back and force him in. I tried using a very small amount of water as a lube but it didn't work. Don't know if it was the frame. I gave it 4 stars because I think the tool is a pretty solid piece of machinery, but FedEx shipping may have damaged the product. It has a sticker on it saying it's fragile, but at 80lbs they didn't listen. I just sent it back today so I'll update how the return went. I think after getting a refund I'll try again and order the exact same thing. No exchange, only returns.
