The concept is good for a waterproof electric cable. It's a size 11, which requires an 11/16 bit to make the correct hole, and 11/16 bits are expensive ($18) if you don't already have them. Will provide a tighter, more watertight seal. Size 9 also requires a little over 1/2" I had to buy them in another big range to get a size 7 that would work with the bits I had but I was able to get it for half the price of one Make 11/16" drill bits. Now I have billions, which is something I'll probably never use. No luck finding an electronics store that even knew what a cable gland was in North Florida.
