Unfortunately based on other reviews and product description this unit did not meet my expectations and is being returned. I bought primarily for min/max signaling. A feature that allows me to visually indicate when my aquarium is outside of the expected range. Unfortunately, the alarm LED only flashes once for maybe a quarter of a second, just as it reads a new temperature that seems to be every few seconds at best. It does not light up or blink when out of range. If you don't sit down and look at the device for a few seconds, you might not even notice a small signal flash. Also, the body of the device is very cheaply made out of flimsy thin plastic. The +/- adjustment buttons are sticky and register multiple presses for each press. The LCD screen is very difficult to read even when pressed against the tank. Too busy to see the dark writing on the LCD.
