Works great, very easy to use with software. It is very easy to download data from device to PC. It is very easy to export downloaded software data to Excel. You must have good eyesight/wear fitting glasses, otherwise there is a risk of mistakenly not collecting the data. Even if the batteries are weak, there is no data recording and no warning. Using the PC software supplied with the device, simply connect the device to the PC (using the supplied USB cable), select 'Connect' from the software menu and then 'Options' from the software menu and set the options. The parameters indicate how often the data must be read. You can do every 3 seconds if you like. The more time between readings, the longer data is logged - and the software tells you how many hours/days of data is being logged based on the seconds between readings. It can log more than 24 hours of data with 15 second intervals between readings. In any case, save the settings while the device is connected by selecting the manual option in the software. You then select the deactivation menu item in the software and you can deactivate the meter and then when you are ready to set it up, make sure the device is switched on and press the record button. SUGGESTED IMPROVEMENT: I wish the device had a wireless connection along with the app so I can see the real time status/data of the device on my phone to make sure everything is ok/logging. I also love that this unit has a tripod receiver - I've had a Gorillapod flexible tripod which has allowed me to place it almost anywhere.
