Review on Precision Measurement with Crescent Lufkin 1-3/16 x 25' Command Control Series Black Clad Tape Measure - L1025CB by Andres Black

The big green digits really stand out against the flat black background

I'm blind as a bat without glasses so I like the big green digits on a matte black background rather than a glossy black background. I'm not a builder so I would use it for standard area measurements. At first I could see other people complaining about receiving the tape measure with no packaging. Then I got a tip from a person who mentioned removing the paper from the backing over the spring clip. As you can see from the digital photo, I found it easier to remove the tape measure by holding the package upside down with one hand (although I had to use that hand to take the number) and using the middle finger of my other hand to lift the spring clip from the post that held it in place, lift the edge of the plastic bracket with your index finger and thumb and pull up to release it from the tape measure. (As someone said, it was the mail that caused the problem, not the glue.) After doing this a few times, my middle finger started to hurt and I found myself using a different method and the end of the package against mine chest squeeze. when sharing a clip. Problem solved. From my point of view, the packaging is approved. Good protective packaging. All lighting conditions? Not quite (The packaging shows the moon and sun. It's not fluorescent or luminescent. I tested it with Revain's shortwave black light: no glow). Then I thought, who measures in the dark?! Although for dimmer lighting a glow would be nice.
