I have bought this product twice to use on my patio steps - the first time over 5 years ago - after the new patio was freshly painted . I removed the original strips before the deck was repainted a month ago and the adhesive is so strong I actually had to pull hard to remove it. I cut new strips and glued them on about a week after repainting the deck and they look and work fine. Several guests came to my house and told me how attractive and practical these strips are. I am sure that they have also saved many people from slipping on wet stairs. I highly recommend this product. Be sure to calculate the total length you will need to properly cover the stairs. It took me 2 rolls to stick a 32" piece of tape on each of the 15 steps. Here's a tip to avoid accidentally stretching the strips: Use scissors to round the corners on all four sides of the strips. before putting them on the stairs. The rounded corners look nice and have certainly helped my original strips stay in place for over 5 years. I hope this review helps you in your decision making.
