Review on 🦈 SharkBite U248LFA 90 Degree Elbow Connector | PEX, Copper, CPVC, HDPE Fittings by John Young

Great for DIY plumbing projects!

Sharkbite fittings not only helped me replace 2 male nipples, they were so easy to use that I put the tip where I needed it for a long time. I inserted 23 feet of copper pipe in place using various types of Sharbite fittings. Very easy to do! I would recommend you to buy a release tool. And yes, they can be removed and reused. Also, get a deburring tool that not only removes the burr, but also when you insert the pipe all the way in, which is the depth it should be in the fitting. I just used a marker to mark this area on the pipe. Then, when you tighten a fitting, you know it's in place. They also make "non-return valves" and I have used them to prevent water from running back into the house from the hose. The only problem I had was that the pipes would rotate with these fittings. It's fine if you're running pipe, but if you have a socket on the end you don't want it to rotate :) That's why I used Milford straps. They wrap around the pipe at the end and have screws that need to be tightened to keep it from moving at all! The bushings I installed are compression fittings, so no torch or soldering is required. Make straight pipe cuts, use the right tools, and you're good to go. Used 10 SharBite fittings and "not a sip of water from any of them"!

Cons
