Review on πŸ’» Dell S3221QS Ultra Thin 4K Display with DisplayPort Certification, Flicker-Free Technology, Tilt Adjustment, Anti-Glare Screen, and High Dynamic Range by Jonathan Booker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great 4K monitor in this price range

IMPORTANT: If you're using a Mac with USB-C ports, be sure to purchase a USB-C to DisplayPort cable that supports 4K at 60Hz. Your screen fonts will be blurry when using the included HDMI cable. Revain has several available for under $15. Plug it directly into your Mac's USB-C port, as a hub can affect video quality. In fact, I started returning the monitor after spending an hour trying to fix the blurry font issue. Spend an hour unsuccessfully on phone support for Revain and DELL products. DELL declared the monitor defective and offered to return it. However, I decided to give it one last try with a USB-C to DP cable, and voila, the fonts were crisp and the refresh rate was full at 60Hz. With that small change this monitor is now a keeper :) Initially I had some reservations about curved monitors but after 24 hours of use that setup curve is gone and I feel like I will never go back to flat screens. Use it for software development and typical home office use. This monitor fits the bill. No comments on how to use the game. The only thing missing are USB ports with PD. Too bad DELL didn't think of Mac users.TL;DR; Great monitor, amazing colors, buy a USB-C to DP cable if you want to connect to a newer Mac with USB-C ports.
