Folds up great and is very easy to clean. If you're having trouble with your hands, look elsewhere. Thin slices are tricky, but if you like thicker slices, you can. If you are small it is also very difficult to see the knife falling and this can lead to false slices (over 5ft 4in or larger). It's nice and simple, but unfortunately it doesn't help me much. If you have a bread maker or bake small sized breads this might work. I can't say no to her because she has so many great qualities. It depends on you and your desire. Hope that helps.
