Review on πŸ–₯️ Chuanganzhuo USB 2.0 Slim Portable External CD DVD Drive for Laptop/PC/Mac - Includes Dustproof Bag Case, Black by Draek Villareal

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worked well with CD; For details see test report

Most computers in particular. Laptops and tablets come with one or two USB ports at best, and everyone expects users to plug in a hub. It is totally unrealistic for the user to connect two USBs directly to the motherboard USB. Anticipating this problem, I bought a high-end USB hub with charging ports, which means the USB hub has its own 120VAC power source independent of the computer's power supply. The data and power cables of the CD/DVD drive are plugged into the appropriate ports of the USB hub, everything worked surprisingly quickly when reading the CD file, hence the 4 stars. I suggest that CAZ3668 develop a setup for their drive where they can recommend a USB hub spec that will work seamlessly for both drive types. My usb hub is anchor. (For travelling, I have another CD drive (not DVD) with a USB data/power cable that works fine on a standard 4-point USB hub with a cable in my laptop's only USB port. The compromise is much slower than the 2-wire CD/DVD drive in question and requires at least a 40% charge on my laptop battery or nothing happens.)

Pros
  • A dream comes true
Cons
  • There are problems
