About 3 days in use and had to be shut down manually a few times when my 1 gallon betta tank reached 87 (and will likely climb higher and cook my fish soon). Room temperature 73. Also, a bit of sticky liquid seems to be leaking out where the cord meets the heating pad. My fish didn't die, but maybe glue got on it? or any other toxic chemical most often in contact with water. Therefore, unfortunately, I cannot recommend the product
