Review on DEWALT DWV9000 Universal Connector by Brannan Mclemore

I should have paid more attention to other reviews. This product does not fit your 1.25" hose Vacuum hose and will likely not fit other non-Dewalt 1.25" hoses. This is not a "universal adapter" and will not work without requiring you to purchase another adapter in order for this adapter to work as described. After a long and frustrating conversation with a Dewalt representative during which they didn't seem to understand that their adapter wasn't designed for the intended function, they kindly offered to ship me the DWV9170 free of charge. hope this works Dewalt shouldn't make any promises. of their products they clearly weren't designed for performance.Update: I'm sorry to say, although I'm not surprised that the DWV9170 didn't solve this design problem. I don't know why a Dewalt rep sent me this one that he came with originally intended to connect the DWV9000 to a 1.25 inch ID dust port. Connecting a 1.25 inch OD vacuum hose to a "universal adapter" does nothing. I called Dewalt and it took too long for the representative to understand the problem and then I had to at least correct his misunderstanding. twice, I think I'm waiting for an answer. For a company that makes really good tools, it's a shame they don't spend a little more money training their customer service representatives. I downgraded my rating to one star. Update 2: After the call back, the representative took the case very seriously and said he would look for a solution and call me back. A few days later I received another call from him, unfortunately there is no solution. This product just isn't designed to do what it promises. Hopefully Dewalt will either repair or update this product or update the product information. Now I have to try to find a workaround that will make me spend more money.
