DEWALT DWV9000 Universal Connector Review

I've tried connecting my DeWalt shop vacuum hose to a DeWalt orbital sander and 10" miter saw without an adapter - to no avail. Bought and it won't connect to my store bought vacuum hose on either side so it's a bug. It connects to my miter saw, but it's useless if I can't connect the opposite side to the hose. I love the quality and the solid price range, but this experience really made me feel like DeWalt is making these types of products on purpose to scam people out of more and more money…

Dewalt has done their customers a disservice by creating a "universal plug" that won't plug into anything. There's nothing universal about that. This product is the opposite of generics. Additionally, Dewalt refuses to release simple specifications that would allow buyers to understand what other adapters are needed or which devices are compatible. Like many others here, I had trouble finding the right nozzle. The photos are an information sheet that came with the wrong app I bought. It seems that DeWalt has tried to clarify the use of many of them; Again, they didn't get it right, but maybe that helps. Adapter to suit your application. I had to hook up their DWS780 miter saw to a Ridgid vacuum. It's as simple as it gets, right? Not as much. I called DeWalt three times. Each time I got different answers. Their customer service department told me that I would need a DWV9000 (at least they got it right) and that I would also need a 9120 or 9130 or 40 or 50 or 60. I should have paid more attention to other reviews. This product does not fit your 1.25" hose Vacuum hose and will likely not fit other non-Dewalt 1.25" hoses. This is not a "universal adapter" and will not work without requiring you to purchase another adapter in order for this adapter to work as described.
