I've had my HP W1907 for a little over a week now and can't get enough of it. The only reason I didn't give it a five is because it sits so low (or does it just "seem" to sit low because I'm not used to the widescreen?). Unfortunately I have to put the monitor and keyboard on the table and not on a real computer station. Since the monitor is in the same plane as the keyboard, I had to use the phone book to raise the monitor. I also had to pick it up to look at the monitor from the right direction. There have been other comments about the standard definition being too high, but I enjoy the brilliance it brings to everything. A poster states that optimal performance is achieved at a brightness of 80 and a contrast of 65. I might try this one day, but for now I'm enjoying the vivid experience. I didn't have any issues with glare on the glossy screen (and that's what I was worried about), so that's good. I was also aware of the darkness in the room as I looked at the monitor. This won't be a good monitor for those who like insanely bright lights. In any case, I prefer a darker room. All in all a great monitor. I've thought about getting a 20" or 22" screen for a long time, but the 19" is more than sufficient for my small living space. Very good device for the money.
