Review on KOHLER GENUINE GP1083167 Kohler Toilets by Agustin Bush

Our original fill valve failed fairly early and prevented water from entering the reservoir without tapping on the top of the fill valve. Initially we tried to replace it with the equivalent of the Universal Fluidmaster 400. This worked, but was much louder than the original. So we bought this device and saw the difference. They are very similar, but this device has a narrowing where the hose attaches. It may also be different below. It filled up quickly with the old valve, but there was less water in the toilet bowl. This new one fills a bit slower and is much quieter and nicer than the universal block. So now we understand why it's better. We hope it will last longer than the OEM valve (which we have tried to clean and lubricate to no avail).
