Review on Gardner Bender GSW 16 Heavy Duty Electrical by Ryan Foles

I was reluctant to order this due to complaints about the screw terminals but figured I could get it working. This is required for a simple low voltage project to be able to choose between two power supplies and output to a device. To be clear, I'm specifically talking about an ON/OFF/ON DPDT switch with screw terminals. The reason people are having trouble is that the screw terminals here aren't really designed to wrap wire directly around them. If you plan to use this type of switch, I suggest adding U-clamps to the end of your cable. The standard size is PERFECT for the screws and fits snugly. I noticed that there is also a version compatible with female ferrules, but I haven't used that switch. In any case, these things are designed for use with crimped wire, not straight wire.
