Nice to have case and keyboard - I wish there was better integration

This is a nicely protective case for may Galaxie Tab A8 with a few flaws and OK keyboard integration. The keyboard itself very nice to have but could be better. The tablet is held in the case by a rubber strip around its perimeter. The strip has cutouts for power, volume, and ports and the case has a cutout for the camera. It adequately protects the tablet and makes it more useable to stand up the tablet for viewing while sitting or cooking. The rubber strip protrudes above the surface of the tablet just a little bit which might add some fall protection; but I did notice this can get in the way of button presses or gestures that occur near the perimeter. I also find the tablet doesn't reliably notice the cover being closed and so I have to move the cover around until the screen goes off. The closure is OK but not firm. There are linear indented features in the inside back of the case to facilitate the tablet tenting. These work OK but not as well as other cases I have where the feature are bumps rather than indentations. The keyboard connects reliably and works well. It is great for web surfing, texting, and putting in passwords upon initial tablet setup. There is a inset on/off button - I like the fact that off means it is off but wonder if/how it goes to sleep if on and how much power that would use. The keyboard is charged with a micro-USB cable even though the tablet is USB-C, which means carrying around an extra cable. It isn't a great keyboard, but it is very good for intermittent use.The keyboard isn't well integrated into the case with tablet. It does magnetically couple to the case, but there is no clear position for it; you can roughly line it up with the cover and then the tablet is held upright by the keyboard rather than aligning to one of the grooves that normally holds up the tablet. When you're done, the keyboard separates from the case, which is used to protect the tablet, and you have to carry the keyboard around separately. It isn't an integrated solution like a Surface Tablet. That works for me as I only use the keyboard while at my desk, but if I were to travel with the keyboard, I'd want a more integrated solution.
