Includes a grommet that fits in the groove around the hole - it should be waterproof (although in many cases you will need to drill a hole for wiring). Four corner screws fit high quality threaded brass taps but they are cumbersome when you need to access the contents to always remove the 4 screws. I wanted an ABS plastic box that wouldn't interfere with Wi-Fi or other RF signals - this box was great for keeping the wireless receiver outdoors to open the gate and maintain remote control transmission range. I'm not sure what to say about "temperature control" for this article (?).
