They were so easy to install! I took another reviewer's suggestion and used a piece of masking tape to easily remove the plastic backing. I first installed them in the middle of the stair and then decided I liked the grip created by placing them farther from the stair. They are removed and glued again. I bought these to help my adult dog get in and out of the basement. Update: 9/27/20 A month has passed and they are holding up beautifully! They suck up grass easily and are not pulled up by vacuum suction. I rearranged them and they are still holding up well. My cat vomited on 2 of them and wouldn't clean them. I replaced these 2 steps and you can't tell which one is new and which one is old. I placed another order because I don't want them to run out! So easy.
