RIOLAND Treads Carpet Non Slip Runners Review

We bought these to add to our garage steps. Not soft to the touch, but not rough either. If you have used or felt the rug before, this will feel very familiar. I really like the durability of these protectors and the fact that they already have a non-slip bottom that won't fall apart. So far, gliding on the poly surface has not been dispensed with.

My order arrived within a day. I love that I was able to find tracks that were really wide and long enough to cover most of the step. When I glued them on, they rose at the edges, probably because they were still bent from being in the packaging. I ended up using carpet tape as I don't plan on taking them off for any reason other than replacing them. They were very easy to use. Good steps. I like that they don't have glue so they don't ruin my floor. The carpet is rough, but it's good for adding traction. I have a few complaints.1. In the box they are folded in half. In one box, the edges of each step were also curved so they didn't lay flat. Hope is seen in the photos some are lying flat and some are curled up. I'm not sure what or how the people reporting problems are trying to use them but so far (just a few days) they're holding up great on my finished wooden staircase. Before applying I vacuumed the steps thoroughly and then wiped them down with a damp (not dripping) towel. Once the step was wiped down and still slightly damp, I put the protector on and wiped it down with the peeled liner so my hand could slide over it with ease. So far so good. I installed them easily and quickly. I stamped the edges and corners so each piece is down. We installed them in our rented location which we just completed. They were so easy to install! I took another reviewer's suggestion and used a piece of masking tape to easily remove the plastic backing. I first installed them in the middle of the stair and then decided I liked the grip created by placing them farther from the stair. They are removed and glued again. I've just finished the installation. One issue I've encountered that I can't entirely fix is that the runners arrive in a box that is folded in half. This will remove the crease (which I tried but was unsuccessful). The center fold "flexes" as it is slid over the step, causing the center of the runner to rise above the step.
