I got this for my husband's shower, he's recovering from an orthopedic injury and I wanted something easier for him to handle instead of the clunky, bulky old hand-held unit that was in there. This is compact and sleek. Even though it seems small, it provides a good spray and makes it easier for him to reach his nooks and crannies without fumbling the thing. I just left the old fixture in place, which holds the sprayer. It fits just fine. Then, using command strips, I attached the new holder that came with the sprayer in a convenient spot chest-high, so he could rest it there and lather up conveniently without reaching overhead repeatedly, and risking a slip and fall in the shower.
