I was a bit hesitant when purchasing these colored pencils due to the low price and mixed reviews. In the end, I love these pens. They are smooth and slightly different from other pens. It becomes smooth and the color even. It sharpens easily, although I had one that broke the lead in the pencil it was closer to the tip so I didn't lose much. The rest was ok so you're still ahead of the price. They are unlike anything I've ever used before and I love them. I still use different kits for different effects, but I do this with my expensive kits too. I reach for this sulfur the most and look forward to buying another set soon. It is also a good gift idea. I plan to give a few for birthdays and such. Everyone who uses them comments how good they are and asks where I bought them. I think they work well especially for beginners. It's also a good second set for those of us who can't afford expensive pens for everyday use. I love my set and am glad I bought it.
