I bought this as I was on a bus trip, left my DVD drive at home and need it to transfer photos from DVDs. I shoot on film and there is a great camera shop here in Savannah that still handles film! I'm glad I left my old drive at home as it doesn't require adapters for my MacBook Pro and is fast. I was also impressed with how well the drive was packaged from the factory and comes with a very nice and protective carrying case. It ejects the disc very smoothly, better than my noisy Apple drive. I also received an email from the seller prior to receiving the drive contacting me if there was an issue showing that they care about customer satisfaction.
