Review on 🖨️ Maximize 3D Printing Efficiency with MakerBot Smart Extruder Replicator MP07325 by Adam Nelson

It's just terrible. I really can't say enough horrible things about her, but still. I have extruder number 5. Every extruder from my original smart extruder through these 5 replacement smart extruders+ is clogged or had a complete sensor failure. I run my Makerbot with slip detection (or whatever they call it) so as not to void the extruder warranty. With the setting turned on, they still get stuck, tearing prints off the bed and stuffing themselves with heaps of PLA. The filament sensor doesn't detect a fault and literally pumps play into the rest of the extruder. I have an extruder that keeps firing because the control board and optoelectronics are coated with cured PLA. I have another one on my desk and am trying to remove the PLA from the extruder nozzle, the heater block and the aluminum plate that runs between the block and the heatsink. In my experience, this will take hours. One of the extruders runs half the time after I first unclog the clogged PLA. The other always breaks off in the middle of the print, but somehow continues to "work". I've contacted Makerbot support so many times I'm ready to give up. They keep sending replacement extruders and they die or commit suicide. I'm at a loss, Makerbot forced me to pay for an extended warranty after my printer failed outside of basic coverage. As far as I know, I invested a lot of money in a product that the company needs to know is defective. The fact that Makerbot never asks to return old extruders suggests they are aware of the problem and don't need or want to fix it. to prevent further problems. If anyone at Makerbot is reading this and wants to fix it, see me on my most recent support ticket dated March 31, 2018 that the extruder self-destructed yesterday, leading to this review.
