The 6" bit is the same as the bit that came with my K5 jig. Works well. Sometimes is this bit too long. Happened to me again today while fixing some drawers. The 3" bit installed the screws with no problem. I could use a rectangular head as an adapter, but that's impractical. It's not fast either. That 3" bit was worth the price of both bits. After 3 years I finally had to write this review. Today wasn't the first time I've been glad I bought these beats. Plan ahead so you're not stranded when you need a short screwdriver. This is a very inexpensive gift for a carpenter with a Kreg K4 or K5. Nice Christmas stocking or Father's Day gift. Sooner or later they will need a short distance. Having a long bit in reserve is also good insurance.
