advantages and disadvantages below. I bought this combo router table so I could keep my previous router free (disconnected) for other projects. In my opinion, this router table has a long list of disadvantages, which will not harm me and my workpieces. It's a solid table and a great router. For the price I would buy these again. If I had to pay the combined cost of the desk and router separately I would consider it a three star setup. It's only clear that the value of these tools makes me more accepting of the negative aspects. Advantages: - Easy assembly. Screws are attached to the table, just loosen the legs and attach -Soft start router and speed control. This is my second softstart tool and it really makes a difference when it's on, it's less annoying. - The leg screw area and the area in the body are flat. I mount my machine to a metal table and there is a lot of flat area to clamp on. - Dual power/safety switch on outlet. - "Back" guard can move up to 1/4". - Storage is good, would like a good dedicated key position. Cons: - Corner fence guide is too far under the table. You can see the edge of the MDF. Maybe Add spacers, but don't try until it causes a problem - Miter gauge isn't tracking cleanly - Pressing down on the handle will raise the front fence off the table surface - Be careful as you apply pressure on the workpiece. The miter gauge has no stops. It would be nice to have at least a 0 degree stop. - Clamp for quickly attaching the router plate is patchy. I was still holding the router while I tightened the screws. - The Alignment of the router makes the dust hole of the router inaccessible. I really don't like that. When you make keyholes or other blind cuts, the dust just sticks in the cut. I'd like a user see a defined mount for this combo pack that slopes the dust port just enough to fit underside - the box was huge, why are my instructions rounded? Serious.
