Not 5mm all around
Project requires 5mm rod. In the end it turned out to be useless. The rod appears to be round in cross-section but is actually oval in shape. Measured 4.99mm in one axis but increased by 5.06mm in the other axis. This was enough not to work in a project with 5mm diameter round holes.
