I had high hopes for this kit. I set it up as soon as it arrived, powered it on, installed the control app and ran the suggested firmware update. It went up to 41% and then froze. When I checked the NAS, it was powered off and never powered back on. I asked for a replacement and sent the first one back. When the replacement came, it was DOA. The only thing it did was spin the fan for about a second when turned on and then turn into a brick. In both cases I tried to contact QNAP support. First time with her chat. I gave up after an hour of only moving 1 position in the queue (probably someone gave up before me). The second time I submitted a support ticket. Never heard a word except the automatic confirmation. I'm done with QNAP. I am returning a replacement and ordering TerraMaster instead.
