This is a review for the DT2A404, which is an "OEM" version of the HIKVISION 2DE-2A404IW-DE3 IP camera. This camera is built by HIKVISION and then custom firmware is loaded to make it a "different" product from the one sold by HIKVISION directly. Therefore, the physical camera is the same between HIKVISION and OEM manufacturers for this particular model, but the firmware is slightly altered. You cannot upgrade the firmware to the official HIKVISION firmware, so what you get is predictably limited support. The marketing (aka product title) is misleading because unless you know that "OEM" means everything said above, you'd never know this is a "knock-off" product.Otherwise, the camera itself has a GREAT picture and works AWESOME as an IP camera (specifically on a manufacturing shop floor watching laser beds). Super high quality build! It was also very inexpensive, which is really important given the excellent quality. Would I buy it again? No, because it's not an actual HIKVISION camera.I would not buy THIS product again, but I would absolutely buy another HIKVISION camera of this model!
