Syncing it to your music took a bit of effort with the remote - I found the MUSIC 1 & 2 on the remote are the best choices. The remote tends to get a bit touchy and sometimes doesn't work. I usually just set it and forget it.The suction, well, that isn't that great so I usually end up just setting it on a shelf. The suction cup works really well if you can attach it to a truly flat surface like glass or a shelf. If you are handy and want it to remain in one place, it can be attached easily with sticky tape that is removable like Command strips. It is very light.
