Major minor when you're ready to deal with imperfections

This is a great monitor at a great price. I like the bezel design, it's simple and fairly flat with no weird curves on the back like some other gaming monitors. The image quality is excellent and the higher frame rate compared to 60 Hz monitors is noticeable. He does what he has to do. Now for the bad parts. In some reviews here people complain about the colors. When you first connect the monitor, the colors are super saturated. It's not just this monitor that's the problem, it's how HDR works in general. In the graphics settings you have to select the "HDR mode", which corrects the colors and actually gives them more dimension. The second problem concerns the display port. When the monitor goes to sleep, it doesn't wake up properly when you move the mouse. Specifically, it turns on, shows a black screen with a "Display Port Input" banner, and then turns off again. The power button turns it back on, but it's not supposed to work that way. I've seen several people complaining about this. The solution is to stop using Display Port and switch to HDMI. All in all I would do it again.
