I'm impressed! I had a mini TCI starter on my big block Chevy and it just didn't crank the engine like I thought it would after the engine was warm. I spent a few hours studying starters - gear ratios etc - and settled on this one. The Powermaster Mastertorque 9600 revs hot or cold with no problem and revs much faster than TCI. I also like the 360 degree head adjustment. This starter should work with any 153 or 168 tooth flywheel on a small or large Chevy block.
