Yes the boot works but not that durable. We used this boot on a Hereford bull with a bad foot along with some blue vitriol. It worked like magic which means I saved some money as I didn't have to get an antibiotic shot! The downside is that the boot is really disposable and by day 4 our bull had rubbed a hole in the side. So if you decide to take this route to treat an injury or foot problem, just know that this product is truly versatile. An alternative is the Tingley welly with gorilla tape to keep it in place. It will last dozens of times and you will get a lot more bang for your buck! It just doesn't quite suit their hooves, so they try to put it down for a short time, but they eventually get used to it after about 30 minutes. We've been using this method on our dairy cows for decades, so it's a proven way to treat hoof problems!
