The device was installed exactly according to the instructions. When I installed the hot water shut off valve I noticed it was a little loose. I ran the test according to the instructions and there were no leaks and everything worked fine. 30 seconds after I started charging, the wall-side thread adapter completely separated from the hot water stop valve. Upon closer inspection, it appears to be held together with an AC ring. So it's not really part of the check valve. I was splashed with 140 degree water at a pressure of 80 pounds per square inch. Due to an error at this point, the device itself could not shut off the outflowing hot water. This can lead to personal injury and damage to property. This design error must be corrected by the manufacturer!
