Technically it deburrs but I'm talking light deburring if you cut off a 1/2 inch piece of emt with a hacksaw for example, after about 45 seconds or a minute it will eventually rub off the burrs . away, it is not cut in any shape, form or fashion. It's quicker to follow the old electrician's method with deburring pliers, deburring the outside of the jaws of the pliers and deburring the inside of the handles. There must be a quality control issue to get 50% positive feedback and 18% negative feedback (or the positive feedback is fake). You can see that there is nothing positive to see in the photos. Here I am citing BS promotional photos, specifically a piece of square stock, the tool I received just can't cut that much metal, or any metal at all. The photo I uploaded is a 3/8 piece of mild steel. I tried working the drill slowly for almost a full minute and here are the results: no cuts, just reams. Deciding it was a piece of junk I got out a box of brass and bronze bushings, found one long and small enough to check and again didn't cut it, I rubbed it. I should have trusted my intuition and not ignored the 18% 1 star reviews, instead I took comments from the positive reviews that the negative reviewers just weren't using it properly as a guide. I was very wrong. I've been working with metal for over 30 years and this thing sucks. At least the ones I received. It's not worth sending back, maybe I'll find a use for plastic sticks or wooden sticks. If not, just blame it on attitude.
